For our dining room we have put together a shelving unit made of primed MDF at TOSIZE.fi. The cupboard spans the entire width of the room, making it 4 meters long. We made spotlights in the cupboard and we made an MDF frame around the cupboard. In the end we painted the cabinet matt white. We are extremely happy with the end result. Even though the cupboard has a calm color, it is a real eye-catcher in the room.

How I made this project

Before we put the cupboard together, we made wooden slats on the wall, so that we could later attach an MDF frame around the cupboard. We then assembled the compartment cabinet according to the supplied construction drawing. We provided the shelves where spotlights were to be placed with recesses for the spotlights before mounting. a hole saw. We used a hose drill for the slot through which the wiring runs. Ultimately, we sealed the cabinet and the frame and then applied it (4 times) with a matte white lacquer layer.
